Magpies striker set for Red Bulls
Notts County's Luke Rodgers is likely to play his last game for the club against Lincoln on Tuesday.
The Magpies striker, who has netted ten times this season, is thought to have struck a deal with MLS club New York Red Bulls before the American transfer window closes.
The 28-year-old joined County from Yeovil on a free transfer last summer in what has been a topsy-turvy year at Meadow Lane.
But Steve Cotterill has led his side to the automatic promotion places since taking over the League Two side, and all but confirmed that Rodgers would be departing following Tuesday's fixture.
"We're in the throes of finalising things," said Cotterill.
"It's not 100 per cent yet. There are a few more details that need to be tied up.
"If it happens he'll still be involved on Tuesday. It will happen after then."
