Salisbury have signed striker Ben Joyce from Torquay on a free transfer.

The 20-year-old had been on trail at the club and caught the eye during pre-season, including scoring four goals in a 7-0 win over Hamworthy United.

Joyce joined Torquay from Swindon last year, however he was given little opportunity to impress at Plainmoor and spent the majority of the season with Forest Green on loan.

"Ben has been very impressive since he came to us," caretaker boss Mikey Harris told the club's official website.

"He's sharp and, as we saw at Hamwothy, knows where the net is.

"He's still only 20 but he's got plenty of experience."
