Cheltenham have confirmed that they have signed Portsmouth midfielder Marlon Pack on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old joins Mark Yates' squad in order to increase his opportunities of earning first-XI football.

Pack has not been able to forge a regular place in Portsmouth's starting line-up and has spent previous loan time with Wycombe and Dagenham.

Pompey handed the teenager professional terms in July 2009 and he made his debut in this season's Carling Cup victory over Crystal Palace before featuring as a substitute against Cardiff on Saturday.

Cheltenham's official website has stated that Pack is likely to be the club's last signing before Tuesday's 6pm transfer deadline, although Football League clubs do have a further seven days to complete emergency and youth loans.
