League Two Round-Up

Leaders Walsall lost, but the weather was the big winner as four games were called off in League Two.

Walsall suffered a 3-1 defeat away at Hartlepool after leading after three minutes through Martin Butler.

Hartlepool scored all of their goals in the second half, Michael Nelson (52) got the first before late strikes from Richie Humphreys and Richie Barker.

Grimsby came from two goals down to eventually win 4-3 against Bristol Rovers.

The visitors were 2-0 up inside 20 minutes after goals from Craig Disley and Lewis Haldane, but Danny North pulled one back before half time (33).

Justin Whittle (pictured), Danny Boshell and Ciaran Toner quickly gave Grimsby a comfortable advantage mid-way through the second half.

Disley pulled got a late consolation for Rovers, but Grimsby held on for an important three points.

Mark Stallard scored the only goal (25) as Lincoln beat lowly Torquay 1-0 at Sincil Bank.

Second bottom Wrexham also lost 3-0 away to Peterborough.

Aaron McLean (23), George Boyd (53) and Steven Evans (own goal 82) got the goals for the London Road side.

Accrington Stanley won away at Barnet 2-1, as the home side had two players sent off late in the second half.

Andy Todd's penalty put Accrington ahead after 40 minutes but Adam Birchall levelled things up (45).

Liam Hatch was the first to go for Barnet and Andrew Proctor scored what turned out to be the winner (84).

Barry Cogan was then sent off deep into stoppage time.

Stockport beat Mansfield 1-0 thanks to Anthony Elding's goal on 17 minutes.

Goals from Ian Miller (59) and Neil Wainwright (64) gave Darlington a 2-0 win over Boston United, who had Bradley Thomas sent off after 70 minutes.

Wycombe Wanderers and Notts County drew 0-0 in the day's final game at Adams Park.

The matches at Chester, Milton Keynes Dons, Rochdale and Shrewsbury all fell to the bad weather.
