Leaders Hartlepool United suffered their first league defeat since early December as Jason Puncheon scored nine minutes from time to give Barnet a 2-1 home win.
Eifion Williams (77) had earlier cancelled out Adam Birchall's early goal for Barnet, but the home side went on to manufacture a shock victory through Puncheon (pictured).
Walsall were able to close the gap on Hartlepool to two points with victory at troubled Torquay.
Trevor Benjamin (10) and Dean Keates' penalty (16) sent Walsall on their way to victory, with Reuben Reid scoring for Torquay (58).
Promotion-chasers Milton Keynes Dons lost 2-1 at home to Grimsby. Danny Boshell (32) and James Hunt (53) scoring for Grimsby and Keith Andrews pulling one back for The Dons (71).
Wycombe Wanderers drew 1-1 with Shrewsbury Town as Michael Symes (37) cancelled out Tommy Mooney's 32nd minute strike.
Lincoln City against Stockport County ended 0-0, with Nat Brown and Liam Dickinson both given their marching orders after 29 minutes.
Accrington Stanley boosted their chances of survival with a 3-2 win over Peterborough United, with Andy Todd netting the winner in the final minute after Posh had twice come back to level the scores.
Todd opened the scoring inside two minutes only for Craig Mackail-Smith to equalise (43). Jay Harris restored Stanley's lead (47) but they were again pegged back by Josh Low on 54 minutes.
Todd popped up in stoppage time to snatch all three points which moves Accrington five clear of the drop zone.
Wrexham, however, fell to a 2-0 defeat away at Macclesfield Town, whose goals came from Matt McNeil (34) and John Murphy (62).
Boston United also lost, Jason Lee (11) and Matt Somner (70) scoring in a 2-0 win for Notts County.
Glenn Murray scored the only goal (74) as Rochdale won at Bury 1-0, with the hosts having Darran Kempson sent off on 85 minutes.
Bristol Rovers defeated Mansfield Town 1-0, Steve Elliott getting the visitors' goal.
Hereford United and Swindon Town drew blanks at Edgar Street, although the home side did have substitute Tim Sills dismissed nine minutes from the end.
