Mick Wadsworth will not allow his Hartlepool team to rest on their laurels despite their record-breaking start to the term.

Pools have started the season in fine form, going eight games unbeaten, but Wadsworth insists that will not alter their weekly preparations.

Speaking to the Hartlepool Mail, first-team coach Wadsworth said: "We won't get carried away and we'll just keep our nose to the grindstone and keep working hard.

"The players thought they might get Monday off but no chance, we've got to work - why change things when we're doing well.

"We might change it when we get a loss, but not now - they understand that and they've been fantastic."
