Bristol Rovers are set to sign Dominic Blizzard, skysports.com understands.

Blizzard is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at Stockport County.

A number of clubs have been linked with Blizzard, but Rovers have persuaded the 24-year-old to make the move to the Memorial Stadium.

Rovers have offered Blizzard a three-year deal and he is expected to put the finishing touches to the move early next week.

The move will come as a massive boost to Rovers boss Paul Trollope as he looks to build a side capable of challenging for promotion this season.
