Bristol Rovers manager Paul Buckle will not be bringing in new players on loan as his squad goes through a mini injury crisis.

Buckle is likely to be without Joe Anyinsah, Cian Bolger, Gary Sawyer, Adam Virgo and Chris Zebroski for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy southern section first round.

But he is not planning a knee-jerk reaction in terms of new recruits.

He told the Bristol Evening Post: "We are taking a hit at the moment, but I don't want to bring players in on loan and overload us because we should have people available again in the next couple of weeks.

"I bring players in here to play, not sit on the sidelines."
