Bristol Rovers manager Paul Buckle insists out-of-favour midfielder Craig Stanley is still a part of his first-team plans.

The 28-year-old has not started a game since the 0-0 draw with Hereford in August and has been left out of the squad for the Pirates' last two games.

Buckle, who signed Stanley back in July, was unhappy with the midfielder's reaction when he was substituted against the Bulls but admits the two have since cleared the air.

"He was brought off [against Hereford] and he was fed up and he walked off - I like my players to jog off," Buckle told BBC Radio Bristol.

"He knows about me and we are back on track now.

"We as a club have got to get on with it and dig in - that was a conversation I had with Craig."
