Bristol Rovers boss Paul Buckle warned the fans that they need to be more realistic after his side lost 1-0 at home to Aldershot.

The Pirates, who were backed by many to be in the League Two play-off hunt, have now won just one of their last seven games.

After Saturday's reverse at the Memorial Stadium, Buckle said: "There was a reaction at the final whistle from some of our supporters, but maybe expectation levels at this club need to come down a bit because they have only had one promotion in two decades.

"I can understand their frustrations and we need to be better, but there needs to be some perspective.

"I'm hugely disappointed. I couldn't see Aldershot scoring in the first half, but we made a defensive mistake and before we knew it the ball ended up in the back of our net."
