Bristol Rovers boss Paul Buckle was delighted with the victory at League Two leaders Morecambe - but still wants more from his team.
Cian Bolger, Scott McGleish and Joe Anyinsah all scored for the Pirates with Jason Price and Kevin Ellison netting for Morecambe.
Buckle said: "We had a disappointing result last week and this was going to be a tough game but we showed great character and resilience.
"We knew we would have to withstand some pressure and we did that and scored three goals which I don't think too many people will do here this year.
"It is still very much a work in progress here and there is still no change. There are lots of things to work on and we are not the finished article by a long way, but we have 15 points now and we are happy with that at this stage and we will look to continue to improve."
