Waddock pays tribute to Beavon

Manager Gary Waddock celebrated his 100th game in charge of Wycombe with a narrow 1-0 win over high-flying Sheffield United.
Stuart Beavon, 27, netted the only goal at Adams Park - latching onto a mistake from Blades defender Harry Maguire and firing home to end the Chairboys' five-match league losing run.
Waddock was quick to highlight the importance of Beavon, whose goal was his first in the league this season, and not his own personal landmark.
"I'm very pleased with the performance and the result and, being my 100th game in charge of the club and getting a win, it's a nice way to finish it all off," said Waddock. "We needed to get out of that run that we were on and the work-rate and the commitment the players showed was fantastic - and what a fantastic goal from Stuart to win a football match with.
"Sometimes we've been punished in the past for mistakes like that but this time we've gone down the other end and scored. The most important thing for me is the performance against a very good side.
"We want the players to play a certain way and, with the run that we've been on, it does dent their confidence and belief. But you wouldn't have thought that out there and the reaction from the crowd and the atmosphere was good so everybody played their part."
