Quakers trialists set for chance

A number of Darlington trialists will be under scrutiny during the club's first pre-season match of the summer.

The Quakers travel to Durham City on Friday as they begin preparations for their League Two campaign next season.

Goalkeeper David Stockdale, defender Dominique Tavargo and midfielders Fabio Dejente and Kalu Ngoma will all be under the watchful eye of assistant manager Mark Proctor.

All four players will be hoping to impress against their Northern League opponents as they bid to earn permanent deals at The TFM Arena.

Summer signings Barry Conlon, Patrick Collins and Gaetano Giallanza are all doubts for the match because of injury but Michael Cummings and Martin Smith are expected to feature.
