The tie is one the biggest of the round and the Latics will fancy their chances of knocking out Simon Grayson's League One leaders with home advantage.

Gillingham are home to Southend United, Tranmere Rovers welcome Leyton Orient to Prenton Park and Wycombe Wanderers tackle Brighton & Hove Albion on home soil.

Elsewhere, Minnows Paulton Rovers were handed a dream tie at home against League One outfit Norwich.

The Zamaretto League club, from near Bristol, reached the competition proper for the first time with a 3-0 win over Chippenham in the fourth round of qualifying on Saturday, and were rewarded with a clash against the three-time former semi-finalists.

Blue Square North side Northwich Victoria will have home advantage against League One title chasers Charlton, while MK Dons manager Paul Ince will team take on his former club Macclesfield.

Meanwhile, third place League One side Colchester face a visit to Blue Square South Bromley while League Two leaders Bournemouth tackle Chesterfield.

In matches between league and non-league teams, there may be potential for upsets as Gateshead host Brentford, Bath travel to Grimsby, York take on Crewe, Sutton United entertain Hereford and Nuneaton Town play Exeter.
