Skysports.com understands Chesterfield have had an offer accepted by Notts County for Craig Westcarr.

The 26-year-old forward has spent the last two years with the Magpies, helping them back into League One.

He slipped out of the Football League upon leaving Nottingham Forest in 2005, but was able to catch the eye during spells at Cambridge and Kettering.

Notts County came calling in 2009 and Westcarr settled quickly back into League life.

Productive

He has been a regular source of goals from the flanks during his time at Meadow Lane and has enjoyed the most productive period of his career with the Magpies.

He has, however, started only two of County's four third-tier fixtures this season and is no longer guaranteed a first-team role.

Chesterfield have used that situation to their advantage by making an approach.

County are happy to discuss a deal and Westcarr could soon be on his way to a side that are in need of extra bodies after enduring a slow start to their League One campaign.
