Birmingham City's highly-rated midfielder Jordan Mutch has joined Hereford United on loan until January.

The 17-year-old has made one substitute appearance for Birmingham and signed a professional contract until 2011 with the Premier League club earlier this year.

He has now been allowed out to gain first-team experience with Hereford and will stay at Edgar Street until 2nd January.

Mutch could make his debut for the Bulls on Saturday when John Trewick's side entertain Colchester United in the second round of the FA Cup.

The England youth international's signing follows on from the arrival of Stoke City youngster Nathaniel Wedderburn, who is also eligible to face Colchester.
