Bury have been handed a pre-season boost with the news that five players have signed up.
Dave Challinor, Dwayne Mattis, David Buchanon, John Fitzgerald and Simon Whaley have all put pen to paper and committed themselves to Gigg Lane.
Skipper Challinor has agreed a year's extension with an option for a further 12 months, while Northern Ireland Under-19 starlet Buchanon has agreed a two year deal despite only having featured three times from the bench.
Bury also beat off competition to retain the services of Player of the Season Mattis and have brought in ex-Blackburn youngster Fitzgerald.
