Barker: No joy after 4-0 drubbing
Bury boss Richie Barker had no complaints about his side's 4-0 defeat to Sheffield United, admitting the Blades were the better team.
The Blades extended their unbeaten league start following goals from Chris Porter, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Matt Lowton and substitute Erik Tonne.
"It was always going to be difficult and I'm just glad to see the back of the game to be honest because we've been beaten by the team I think is the best in the division," said Barker. "They were better than us individually and as a team.
"Financially, and with the size of the club, we shouldn't be competing anywhere near Sheffield United. It was one of those games and we just have to move on."
Barker refused to point to the loss of top scorer Ryan Lowe, who was sold to Sheffield Wednesday earlier this week, as a contributing factor.
He added: "He is a big loss but, with all due respect to Ryan, I'm not sure he would have helped us a great deal. It wasn't just the fact that Ryan wasn't there."
