Bury boss Richard Barker was left to rue some defensive howlers as his side crashed 3-0 at Hartlepool.
Two goals from Colin Nish and one from Nobby Solano secured a fourth straight win for Pools and extended their' unbeaten start to the season to a club record eight games.
Back at the ground where he become a crowd favourite in 2007, Barker handed a start to teenager Andrai Jones and the centre-half struggled.
"Its not the first time I've said this; 18-yard box to 18-yard box brilliant, but it's not good enough in them," said Barker.
"I cannot legislate for individual errors, I put my faith in young players because that's the way I am and I'm not going to blame Andrei.
"It's difficult to play against a team like that and he made an error which I cannot legislate for which led to their third goal. It was pure aggression from their centre-forward and fair play to him. Sometimes you have to gamble and make things happen and Nish did that."
