Torquay United have agreed a deal to keep Tottenham Hotspur full-back Adam Smith until the end of the season.

Smith initially joined the Gulls in late November and has impressed during his time with the League Two club.

He has made eight appearances for Paul Buckle's side and has provided valuable cover in the full-back positions.

The 18-year-old will now see out the campaign at Plainmoor as he looks to build up his first-team experience.

Smith has yet to make a senior appearance for Spurs, but enjoyed a spell on loan at Wycombe at the start of the season prior to joining Torquay.
