Fleming: Set for Oldham

Crewe look set for a goalkeeping crisis after Gretna's Greg Fleming opted to join Oldham.

Alex have seen current keepers Owain Fon Williams and Ben Williams reject new deals.

Number one Ben Williams has decided his future lies away from Gresty Road after four years with the club.

Fon Williams has opted to leave after seeing his first-choice chances limited, even though namesake Ben is also leaving.

"I haven't been given an opportunity at Crewe at all," added Fon Williams. "I've been here for five years now and I've not played one first-team game.

"Steve said I was going to be number one, but I don't know how someone can say that now at the end of the season when Ben Williams hasn't said what he is doing either way.

"I turned down my contract as I needed time to consider my options. I'm not going to commit myself to anything. It is an important decision for me."

Crewe coach Steve Holland confirmed Fleming would not be signing for them.

"We've got quite a decent-sized list of keepers and we're working through it," said Holland.

"We tried to sign the Gretna keeper, but he has indicated he is going to join Oldham."
