Kenny Miller claims that it has been "so easy" to reacquaint himself at Rangers.

The Scotland international completed a controversial return to the club in June and had been expected to receive a frosty reception on his return to Glasgow.

Having represented arch rivals Celtic since his last stint at Ibrox back in 2000/01 the striker's arrival had been met with scepticism by some supporters.

However, Miller insists that his new team-mates have helped make his arrival at the club as smooth as possible.

"It's been so easy to come back. I've not had any nerves at all," he told Rangers' official website.

"Obviously when you move to a new club and you don't know anybody then it's a different ball game.

"There is a settling-in period but it's not been like that here.

"I know the majority of the lads, from playing against them and playing with them with the national team.

"And there are still some people here from my first time around.

"I know all the coaches and the management, so it's been easy to come straight in."

In a twist of fate Miller could make his second Rangers debut against the same side as he made his first.

Should Lithuanian side Kaunas get past Andorra's Santa Coloma in the first round of UEFA Champions League qualifying then they will travel to Ibrox in July for the first leg of a second round contest.

Fortunate

Miller admits that his memories of his previous encounter with Kaunas are sketchy, but remembers that Gers emerged victorious and is hoping for a similar outcome this time around.

"I know we got through comfortably in the end against Kaunas so I hope it will be the same result again," he said.

"I can't remember the length of time I played in that game but obviously this time around it's one to look forward to.

"I was fortunate enough to sample a few Champions League nights when I was here the first time around and they were special nights and obviously I got a goal in the Monaco game.

"Getting to the Champions League is massive, especially with clubs like Rangers.

"European nights at Ibrox are second to none so we want to be playing in the Champions League next season."
