Levein: Attacking options
Dundee United have completed the signing of Valencia striker Francesco Sandaza on a three-year deal, subject to international clearance.
The Spaniard will join United for pre-season training in Scotland next week, if he receives the all-clear from Fifa.
Sandaza joined Valencia in 2002 and has since been playing in the Primera Liga outfit's reserve team, where he scored 23 goals last season.
The 23-year-old's contract expired at the end of the campaign and United boss Craig Levein has welcomed the opportunity to bolster his attacking options after already signing Warren Feeney on loan from Cardiff.
"It's been well known that I was seeking to bring in two forwards before the start of the season," Levein told United's official website.
"I've been delighted to be able to secure the services of Warren Feeney and now Francesco Sandaza at this early stage of our pre season schedule.
"Francesco comes highly recommended by two of my trusted contacts and has been watched many times over the last year.
"He will add pace and height to the side and his abilities will complement and strengthen our attack.
"I'm sure he will be a big success at Tannadice and that he will be very popular with our fans."
