Kennedy: Hoping for move
John Kennedy is hoping Celtic will allow him to join SPL rivals Motherwell on loan.
Motherwell boss Mark McGhee claimed at the start of the week that Kennedy was joining the club on loan, only for Celtic to say other teams are interested in the full-back.
Kennedy is currently training with Well in Austria and is keen to link up with McGhee's side for the coming season.
"I am not too sure what is happening to be honest - I think they are still trying to sort things back home at the moment," Kennedy told Motherwell's official website.
"I am just over here training, making the most of this week and hopefully things can get sorted quickly.
"The possible move came to my attention via Gordon Strachan and my agent who told me about Motherwell's interest.
"I was all for it; it's a good opportunity for me so hopefully it will get sorted out, but we just need to wait and see what happens.
"Obviously coming here I will have a bit more of a chance to get regular games than with Celtic and that will hopefully get me back on me feet and at the same time, give Motherwell something back as well. Playing in Europe was a factor too and a big advantage to everyone at the club."
