Arnau Riera has agreed to return to Falkirk on a season-long loan, skysports.com can confirm.

The Sunderland midfielder has been considering his options over the summer and trained with Blackpool earlier this month.

Now the former Barcelona man has decided to return to Falkirk - where he spent the whole of last term.

"Arnau is delighted to be moving back to Falkirk," his agent Craig Honeyman of SEM told skysports.com.

"He really enjoyed his spell there last term and he was a big crowd favourite, so the move is good news for everyone."

Riera has played just twice for Sunderland since joining in 2006.
