Hleb: Barca bow
Barcelona began their new era under manager Pep Guardiola with a comfortable 6-0 pre-season victory over Hibernian at Murrayfield.
Former Chelsea forward Eidur Gudjohnsen opened the scoring after five minutes as he was offered time and space on the edge of the 18-yard area to fire in on the half-volley.
Lionel Messi then doubled the advantage 10 minutes later as he danced around the Hibs defence to strike with his left foot from just inside the penalty area as Guardiola, who took up the Camp Nou hot-seat this summer, saw his side take control.
Two minutes later Gudjohnsen helped himself to his second of the night as Barca, who had Gerard Pique and Daniel Alves making their debuts, turned on the style.
And shortly before the half-hour mark Rodriguez Pedrito added the Primera Liga outfit's fourth as he latched onto a ball from Messi and curled in from the right.
Hibs were overrun and the pattern continued after half-time as substitute Krkic Bojan smashed in a fifth from close range on 48 minutes.
Steven Feltcher had a good chance to restore some pride for Hibs, but the midfielder blazed over after meeting a Colin Nish cross at the far post.
Barca brought on Alexander Hleb for his first outing following his £11.8million move from Arsenal and the Spanish side then added a sixth with 20 minutes remaining as Yaya Toure netted to seal a comfortable victory.
