Barcelona have confirmed that they opened talks with Celtic about midfielder Marc Crosas.

The Bhoys are keen to land the 20-year-old with initial talks being over a season-long deal.

But a Barca spokesman has confirmed that Celtic are also looking into striking a permanent deal for the highly-rated midfielder.

"Celtic have talked to us about both a loan and permanent deal regarding Marc Crosas," a Barca spokesman told the Daily Record.

"They know what that will cost. Marc is to travel to America with the team so we don't think anything will happen until they return."

Sevilla are also interested in the youngster, but Celtic would appear to be in pole position to land the young Catalan.
