DaMarcus Beasley insists he is focussing on helping Rangers beat Aberdeen on Saturday to keep up the pressure on Celtic at the top.
The winger's comments come after he had a 'winner' disallowed when the two teams last met in the SPL at Pittodrie back in August.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw despite television replays showing that his late strike should have been allowed to stand.
But Beasley does not hold any grudges against referee Craig Thomson following his high-profile blunder.
Instead he hopes the official does not have any major calls to make this time around.
Beasley said: "These things happen and I'm sure the referee has had worse calls than that.
"It's just part of football. I don't think about it and it doesn't really bother me anymore.
"This is a new game and hopefully the referee won't have to make a difficult decision this time."
Rangers go into the game in desperate need of a win as Celtic have a four point lead at the top.
The Ibrox side have dropped four points in the last four games after draws against Motherwell and Dundee United, while picking up a narrow 2-1 win over St Mirren last time.
Beasley added: "We are always ready for the fight and to get the three points, whether we play at home or away.
"Those games are behind us now, we don't look back at those games.
"We look at the game against Aberdeen tomorrow and we know we have to win.
"As long as we win the game and get the three points on the board and take a step closer to Celtic, we will be fine."
Meanwhile, Beasley has thrown his weight behind current assistant manager Ally McCoist becoming boss when Walter Smith departs.
Rangers chairman Sir David Murray has revealed McCoist - who became the Ibrox club's record goalscorer during his glittering 15 years as a player there - is being lined up for the manager's job.
Beasley said: "He still loves the game.
"He has so much passion and so much love for the club. He was here for so long and scored so many goals for the club.
"I think it would be a great asset if he were to become the gaffer.
"All the guys respect him, they know what he has done for the club and his country.
"It would be a big boost to have him as number one. Whenever that does happen, it's something we will all be excited about.
"I don't think there will be any problems when Walter Smith decides to go and Coisty steps in and does the job."
