Inverness Caledonian Thistle have confirmed the departure of long-serving midfielder Barry Wilson to First Division side Queen of the South.

Wilson's contract was due to expire on 19th January but Caley have allowed the 36-year-old to leave early to complete his move to the Dumfries club.

Wilson will now be eligible to play for Queen of the South against Greenock Morton on Saturday.

The winger made over 300 league appearances in two spells at Caley and had a testimonial against Liverpool in August.

Doonhamers boss Gordon Chisolm has also signed Rangers goalkeeper Lee Robinson, 22, on loan until the end of the season.
