Gers striker unhappy at ugly midweek scenes

Rangers striker Steven Naismith believes crowd trouble in their UEFA Champions League draw against Unirea Urziceni tarnished the result.

The SPL giants have been charged with the improper conduct of their supporters following the disturbances in Bucharest and the matter will be dealt with by Uefa's control and disciplinary body on Thursday.

If Gers are hit by sanctions then the Scottish champions could face a fine or even be forced to play behind closed doors - a scenario Naismith admits is unknown to him.

"It was disappointing to see what went on the other night and everybody at the club definitely does not condone it," explained Naismith.

"It's not nice to see and I think everybody associated with the club is disappointed with what went on.

"It maybe took a wee bit away from the performance.

"I've never played in a game in a big stadium behind closed doors in such a big competition

"I wouldn't know what it's like to be honest."
