Hearts boss Jim Jefferies has been boosted by the news that talented winger Andrew Driver is back in training.

The Englishman has been hampered by tendonitis in his knee this season in what has proved a stop-start campaign for the 22-year-old.

Driver is now back in training, after last featuring in early February, although Jefferies does not believe he will be available for selection for at least two weeks.

"Andrew has trained but we can't consider him for at least a couple of weeks," he told the club's official website.

Big plus

"We'll have to see how he goes as he has been out for some time but it's obviously a big plus that he is back in training after all his problems.

"With a bit of luck we might see him before the split, it all depends how he responds."

Jefferies was without 14 first-team squad members against Dundee United on Sunday and he has also been boosted by the news that Scott Robinson and Jamie MacDonald have also resumed training.

"We're getting a few of the guys back, which is good," he concluded.
