Dundee United's on-loan defender Andy Webster is looking forward to getting his international career back on track after winning his first cap for four years.
The central defender, on loan until the end of the season from Rangers, helped Scotland secure a 1-0 victory over Czech Republic last week to give Craig Levein a perfect start to his international managerial career.
The 27-year-old has been plagued by injuries since leaving Hearts for Wigan in 2006, but he has returned to his best whilst on loan at Dundee United this season and has told skysports.com that it was great to link up with former Terrors boss Levein once again.
"I haven't played for my country for a long time and I was delighted to get back out there and play for Scotland again," said Webster.
"I've obviously done it before, but it is like most things, when you haven't done it for a while you start to appreciate it a little more.
"It will help to an extent having Craig Levein as international boss, but I've known a lot of the boys in the squad for a while anyway having either played with or against them down the years.
"It does make it easier when you see familiar faces though, so it was a boost to see Craig Levein appointed as Scotland manager."
Another player to return to the international fold last week was Rangers' goal-machine Kris Boyd and Webster believes the return of the former Kilmarnock man will give Scotland a huge boost for their chances of qualifying for Euro 2012.
"He has proven over numerous seasons how good a striker he is and his ability to score a different variety of goals is phenomenal.
"You won't find many better strikers because scoring goals comes so easy to him. It is a great weapon to possess in your armoury, so to see him return to the international side is a huge boost for Scotland."
