Hearts boss Jim Jefferies is not ruling out winger Andrew Driver making a shock start against Hibernian this weekend.

The talented 22-year-old has not featured since early February after suffering from tendonitis in his knee.

The Oldham-born winger recently returned to full training and it had been thought he could feature off the bench at Tynecastle.

However, Jefferies has now hinted Driver could win a start depending on how he performs in a midweek friendly against Kilmarnock.

Run out

"We have a bounce game on Tuesday against Kilmarnock and we're hoping to give some of the guys a run out," Jefferies told the club's official website.

"I hope to give Andrew Driver 20-25 minutes or so and we'll see how he goes. He has been training without any reaction and if he is okay, then he'll be in my thoughts.

"I certainly haven't ruled him out of possibly starting against Hibs. It's a big game for us as regards the top six and one we all want to win."
