Celtic striker Morten Rasmussen says it has been a pleasure to play alongside Robbie Keane since his arrival at the club.

Both players arrived at Parkhead during the January transfer window but despite Rasmussen's move from Brondby, the signing of Robbie Keane on loan from Tottenham dominated the headlines.

Keane has scored eight goals in eight games for the Hoops so far, and Rasmussen admits it has been fantastic to partner him in Celtic's last two matches.

"I think Robbie Keane's arrival is a great thing," the striker said.

"He's a top-class player and it is always nice to play with someone who is that good.

"But I wasn't thinking of stardom when I came here. I just needed some time to get to know the Scottish league and my team-mates and that's fine with me.

"I expected the club to be very big and I know I can see that and I know I was right.

"I came here during the Danish pre-season so I wasn't 100% fit but I am getting closer to that.

"Of course it is difficult to come to a new place but the only thing I can do is do my best and I am trying to do that in training and matches."

Rasmussen has scored twice in six appearances for the Bhoys since his move from Denmark.

Celtic take on St Johnstone at the weekend as they try to gun-down league-leaders Rangers in the SPL.
