Harry Redknapp is adamant there is 'no way' Robbie Keane will be returning to Celtic on loan again next season.

Keane's move to Parkhead from Tottenham Hotspur on deadline day was perhaps the biggest surprise of the January transfer window.

The Republic of Ireland striker has been quick to make an impact at Celtic, scoring eight goals in as many appearances, and there have been rumours of a bid to hang on to the 29-year-old next term.

Bhoys boss Tony Mowbray recently admitted he was keeping an open mind regarding the possibility of having Keane in his squad for next season.

However, Mowbray's Tottenham counterpart Redknapp has moved quickly to nip such a notion in the bud by confirming he does not want Keane to go out on loan again.

"I don't see us loaning Robbie out again," Redknapp said in the Scottish Sun.

"We paid a lot of money for him. So it's not something I see happening. It would obviously be up to the chairman, but I couldn't see it being a possibility.

"I certainly would not want it to be happening.

"Robbie's only on loan until the end of this season as far as we're concerned.

"We want him back so in my mind there's no way of another loan deal."
