Hooiveld: Far from happy
Celtic defender Jos Hooiveld has blasted his team-mates' display in their midweek UEFA Champions League qualifying thrashing at Braga.
The Bhoys travelled to Portugal confident of securing a positive result, but now face an uphill climb after suffering a disastrous 3-0 first leg loss.
Hooiveld is fit again after missing much of last season after joining from AIK Solna and is disappointed his first taste of Europe with the club ended so badly.
The 27-year-old was desperate to impress and says had he been a more senior figure within the squad he would have let rip following the full-time whistle.
Hooiveld was unhappy with the performance from Neil Lennon's side, and felt the manner in which they conceded at the back was simply unacceptable.
"If I'd still been playing for my old club in Sweden I'm sure I would have broken something after the game," Hooiveld told the Daily Record.
"At this moment in my career at Celtic I have just come back from an injury and people don't really know what kind of player I am.
"I'm not in a position within the group yet where I can go into the dressing room and grab people by the throat.
"But I felt like doing it. This is the first chance I have had to get into the Champions League and if we screw it up in this way it would be frustrating.
"It actually gets more frustrating when I talk about it. How did I view our performance? It was s**t.
"We lost 3-0 and that was bad enough but if you look at how the 3-0 scoreline came about you can see it was just too easy for Braga.
"That is what bugs and bothers me the most - how easily we gave goals away."

Well said Hooiveld! The team need a good telling. He should have grabbed Loovens by the throat. Once again another poor performance from Loovens on Wednesday.
