Motherwell look set to win the race for Alan Gow, with a deal set to be completed on Thursday.

The forward will join the SPL outfit subject to passing a medical.

The 27-year-old has interested a number of clubs this summer, but has chosen to continue his career at Motherwell.

Gow was released by Plymouth following their relegation last term and has spent the summer attempting to find a new club.

A switch to Swindon reportedly collapsed over personal terms, while Kilmarnock and St Mirren have been linked with approaches.

He has, however, now agreed a six-month deal with Well, subject to the formalities of a physical exam being completed without a hitch.

The former Falkirk and Rangers man will then be paraded at Fir Park following the completion of the move.
