Skysports.com understands Hamilton are poised to sign Cardiff midfielder Aaron Wildig.

Hamilton boss Billy Reid revealed over the weekend he was close to landing a mystery duo and it is believed Wildig is one of the targets.

Wildig has come through the ranks at Cardiff and the 18-year-old is regarded as one of the best young prospects to emerge in recent years.

Cardiff boss Dave Jones is willing to loan out Wildig so that he can get some valuable first-team action under his belt.

Wildig could make his debut against Kilmarnock this weekend if he ties up his loan switch to New Douglas Park.
