Gravesen: Uncertain future
Thomas Gravesen's agent says the player will not be forced out of Celtic, despite Gordon Strachan's assertion that the Dane will never play for the club again.
Strachan admitted earlier this weekend Gravesen has no future with the Scottish champions and he has not been able to accommodate the former Everton man into his system at Parkhead.
Gravesen has failed to shine since arriving at Celtic from Real Madrid in 2006 and he spent the second half of last season on loan at Everton.
Strachan is keen to offload the 32-year-old, but Gravesen's agent, John Sivebaek insists the player will not be forced out.
"Thomas has a contract and intends to see it out," Sivebaek said.
"Of course, he would love to be playing, but that's the manager's decision. At this stage, it seems like he won't get another chance.
"The unfortunate thing is that Thomas is a very good player. It would be a real shame if he doesn't get a second opportunity."
Meanwhile, Strachan has revealed he has a number of targets in mind as he looks to bolster his squad before the start of the season.
Strachan has been relatively quiet in the transfer market so far this summer, but he is still hopeful of bringing in a few new faces.
"Of all the ones we are talking to right now, only one has popped up on the radar in the last couple of months.
"There have been ones you look at in the European Championships and go 'I like him'. Too dear. 'I like him'. Too dear."
