Robbie Keane has warned the rest of the SPL that Tony Mowbray's new-look Celtic side are starting to gel.

Celtic capitalised on Rangers' inactivity to close the gap at the top of the table to seven points with a 1-0 win over Dundee United on Saturday.

The Old Firm lock horns again next weekend and Keane believes Celtic's much-changed side following the arrival of a number of new faces in January is ready to hit top form.

"It is starting to gel together," said Keane. "People are getting to know each other's games.

"I said when I first came that it would take me three or four games to get in to the swing of things and I feel I am starting to do that.

"I'm starting to score now and long may it continue."

Keane has also called on the players to handle the expectation and pressure of playing for Celtic.

Celtic have struggled at home this season and there was some anxious moments as they failed to put Dundee United to the sword despite dominating the game.

Keane knows the team need to take the anxiety out of their game when they play at home and admits it is up to the players to deliver success.

"At 1-0, you are always liable to give the other team a chance but, all in all, we dominated the game and didn't look like losing it," added Keane.

"But it is important in these kinds of situations to get the second goal.

"I have been lucky enough to play at big clubs before and the pressure comes with that.

"You are playing for a club that demands success and, as players, it is up to us to deliver it.

"We are well aware that people expect us to win these kind of games but sometimes they are not as easy as people think."
