Motherwell have signed Rangers youngster Ross McCormack.
The highly-rated striker has signed a two-year deal at Fir Park after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.
McCormack arrives at Motherwell on a free transfer after being told he does not figure in Paul Le Guen's plans at Ibrox.
The 19-year-old made 15 appearances for Rangers, scoring a crucial goal in the UEFA Champions League against Porto.
However, he spent the second half of last season on loan at Doncaster Rovers after failing to hold down a place at Ibrox.
Well boss Maurice Malpas is a big fan of McCormack, having worked with him with the Scotland Under-21 squad, and he believes he will be a valuable addition to the squad.
"That's the first one in and people shouldn't be surprised it's a striker, as we thought we were short there last season and Ross will be a useful addition to our squad," Malpas told the club's official website.
"This move does not mean that anyone will be leaving, as Ross will give us options to change things that we didn't have last season."
