Csaba Laszlo remains confident in-demand winger Andrew Driver will still be with Hearts next season.

Driver has been linked with a move south of the border after impressing on his England Under-21 debut at this summer's European Championship.

Burnley have been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old, who still has four years left on his Tynecastle contract.

However, Laszlo believes Driver should resist the lure of the Premier League for at least one more season as the extra year of experience with benefit all concerned.

More time

"Andrew Driver needs a little bit more time with us," Laszlo said. "I think Andy will play for Heart of Midlothian next season.

"I think next season, if he can play very well with us and stays injury-free, maybe we can talk about his future.

"But this is a young player who improved a lot last season.

"We must care about our players. I think it's my job to care about the players. He listens to me."

Meanwhile, Hearts have confirmed that striker David Witteveen would be joined by two other trialists on their pre-season tour of Germany

Lithuanian midfielders Marius Cinikas, of FK Silute, and Vytautas Luksa, from MTZ Ripo in Belarus, will also get the opportunity to impress Laszlo.
