Former York City midfielder Danny Racchi has been offered a two-year deal by Kilmarnock following a successful trial.

The 23-year-old is a free agent following his release by York and he has impressed manager Kenny Shiels while at Rugby Park.

Shiels believes Racchi fits in well with the club's philosophy and is now hoping the player agrees to sign his multi-year contract offer.

Fits in

"Danny Racchi is a hard-working midfield player who fits into our way of playing," explained Shiels.

"He's a good passer of the ball and has a good understanding of how we play.

"He's been up for a few weeks on trial and has been offered a two-year deal."
