St Mirren star Andy Dorman insists he would be happy to stay at the Paisley club.

A number of clubs in Scotland and England have been linked with a move for the goalscoring midfielder.

Dorman, who was named SPL Player of the Month for April, revealed he feels he owes St Mirren a huge debt of gratitude after they gave him his opportunity to move to Europe after snapping him up from MLS side New England Revolution in January 2008.

"I definitely feel gratitude to St Mirren," said Dorman. "They were the people who took the risk on me. Between the manager, chairman and everyone else at the club, I owe them quite a lot.

"I'd be happy to stay at St Mirren. But first we have some important games coming up that I want to concentrate on.

"St Mirren were the first club willing to take a chance on me, so it was a case of coming over and seeing how I did. Things have gone well and I'm happy."
