Toulalan: In need of rest
Lyon midfielder Jeremy Toulalan has been ruled out of action for two weeks.
The 24-year-old holding player missed the club's much needed 2-0 win over Stuttgart in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
He is now set to miss the Ligue 1 clash with Paris Saint Germain at the weekend and the game against Valenciennes the following week.
Alain Perrin's side welcome the Germans to Stade de Gerland for a return leg on 7th November and Toulalan will be targeting that match to make his return.
Despite topping the table domestically, defeats against Rangers and Barcelona have left Lyon trailing in Group F.
Fabios Santos and Karim Benzema scored the vital goals at the Gottlieb-Daimler Stadion on Tuesday, but Perrin has refused to get carried away.
"We knew we would be under a lot of pressure from Stuttgart because they needed to win too," said the coach.
"We don't have our fate in our hands yet, but after the return match it will be time to take stock."
The French champions are still four points behind the co-leaders and know their chances of qualification still lie in Barca and Rangers' hands.
