French coach Raymond Domenech has recalled Patrick Vieira and Franck Rivery to his squad for the World Cup qualifier with Romania.
The duo have overcome long-term injuries and make a welcome return to the France squad.
Domenech has named a 22-man party although there is no place for Arsenal's Samir Nasri.
France are looking for a positive result against Romania after an in-different start to the new campaign - after victory over Serbia and defeat against Austria.
There is also a first call-up for former Liverpool striker Florent Sinama-Pongolle - now with Atletico Madrid.
