Cisse: Satisfied at Sunderland
Sunderland striker Djibril Cisse has hinted that his loan stay at the Stadium of Light could be made permanent.
The Frenchman joined the Black Cats on a temporary season-long move from Marseille in August as he looked to secure regular first-team football.
Former Liverpool forward Cisse has since netted two goals in seven outings and the France international believes he has impressed manager Roy Keane.
The 27-year-old also feels the fact that Sunderland were eager to insert a permanent option in his loan contract gives an indication that his stay on Wearside could be extended.
"Everyone seems satisfied," Cisse told France Football when asked about his progress this term.
"As Sunderland did their best to get the buying option, I believe they have an idea.
"I would like to settle and stop moving. I want to stay, grow and experience something strong with one club."
Cisse, who joined Marseille in 2007 after three unsuccessful years with Liverpool, has also confirmed that he was a target of Manchester City this summer.
But he insists that he had no second thoughts about joining Sunderland after meeting chairman Niall Quinn.
"Sunderland were interested in me for several weeks," added Cisse. "So were Manchester City.
"I made my decision in one day after talking to Niall Quinn."
