Valenciennes coach Antoine Kombouare has confirmed he has agreed to become Paris St Germain's new boss.
PSG had been looking for a new coach after deciding not to offer current incumbent Paul Le Guen a contract extension.
Kombouare, who played for PSG for five seasons in the early 1990s, is now just waiting to finalise his move to Parc des Princes.
"Everything has been settled," Kombouare told reporters.
Le Guen, meanwhile, could head in the opposite direction after revealing he had meet Valenciennes chairman Francis Decourriere to discuss replacing Kombouare.
Former Rangers boss Le Guen claims Galatasaray have also shown an interest as he weighs up his options for next season.
"Indeed, I met Valenciennes' chairman," said Le Guen.
"But I have also met with other chairmen who know I am a free agent. Indeed, I had a phone call from Galatasaray's representatives."
Reims coach Luis Fernandez and Boulogne-sur-Mer boss Philippe Montanier have also been linked with the Valenciennes position.
