Lopez: Set to join Lyon
Lyon have announced they are set to sign Lisandro Lopez after having an offer accepted by Porto.
The French giants have been tracking the striker for much of the summer after being impressed by his performances in last season's UEFA Champions League.
The 26-year-old scored six goals in Europe's premier club competition to help Porto reach the quarter-final stage.
Lyon have now confirmed that a deal has been struck with Porto worth €24million ((£20.7million)
"The implementation of this transfer now depends on an agreement being reached between Lyon and the player," read a statement on the club's official website.
There are not likely to be any problems in finalising a move after Lopez's agent stated last month that the Argentine player was happy with the personal terms on offer.
According to reports in France, Lyon are also interested in bringing in Nice forward Loic Remy and Andre-Pierre Gignac of Toulouse.
Claude Puel is determined to reinforce his striking options after allowing Karim Benzema to join Real Madrid.
