Tettey: Off to France
Rennes have moved a step closer to signing Alexander Tettey after having a bid for the midfielder accepted.
The Ghana-born Norway international is currently on the books of Rosenborg, but appears all set to complete a move to France.
Tettey is due at Rennes on Monday to undergo a medical, while he will also be expected to sign a contract during that visit.
"The two clubs have agreed a fee and Tettey will go to France next week," confirmed Rosenborg director Erik Hoftun to Adresseavisen.
"Rennes have been in the picture for a long time, ever since last summer."
Rosenborg snubbed two offers from Rennes for their midfield ace before finally relenting, and Tettey is delighted a compromise has been reached.
"This is very positive," his agent Tore Pedersen told Aftenposten.no.
"He is truly pleased. Not because there was anything wrong at Rosenborg, but because all players want to play at the highest possible level.
"I don't think he will have any problems is France. He has got all the qualities required to be a success."
